Pauline “Polly” Shaw Obituary
She was a native of LaRue County and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She went to Wendy's everyday and read her book with close friends.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Shaw; her parents, Hansford and Katie Pearl Gibson Atherton; two brothers, Harold and James Atherton; and four sisters, Velma Atcher, Jean Hutcherson, Edna Baunach and Ann Craine.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Smith of Florida; a sister, Joyce Williams; a close, dear, forever friend, Char Marker; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Mike Bell officiating. Burial follows in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
