Peggy Childers Obituary

Peggy Lou Childers, 78, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Hodgenville, was a LPN at Medco Nursing Home and a member of College Heights United Methodist Church and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. "Bob" Childers; two daughters, Valerie Benita Lambert (Norman) of Vine Grove and Jessica Kay Sprigler (Eric) of Georgetown, Indiana; three stepchildren, James E. Childers, Janie Harper and Jeffrey E. Childers; a sister, Carlene Ethel Pitts (Wayne) of Crestview, Florida; four grandchildren, Andria Michelle Paris (Kirt), Heather Nicole Davis (Robby), Amanda Dawn Smith (Thomas) and Zachary Ray Skaggs; four great-grandchildren, Anya Lale Paris, Ariana Shea Paris, Laney Grace Smith and Norah Everly Davis; along with several step great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at noon Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Roger McGuffin officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
