Peterson ‘Peter’ Johnson Obituary
Survivors include his wife, Karen Cole Johnson; and his children, Andrew Martin Johnson and Anna Victoria Johnson.
Services are at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at First Christian Church in Elizabethtown.
Visitation begins at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Trowbridge Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

We heard the very sad news of Mr. Johnon's passing. It breaks my heart that this wonderful man will not be teaching anymore. He was a teacher when I, Patricia, was at North Hardin High. Small world that he taught at North Hardin Christian School. There, he was my son's favorite teacher, always made him laugh. Chris enjoyed his Bible class and his chemistry classes very much. Chris is now a sophomore in college. Chris tells me at times at what an impact his Advanced Chemistry class was to help him with his engineering classes. We are honored to have him be part of our son's success throughout middle school and high school. He was an invaluable teacher and be very much missed.

Just a photo of me and my buddies with Mr. Johnson. He was an amazing teacher, honestly one of my all time favorite teachers. I definitely will miss him. Rest in peace Mr. Johnson, you'll always be the king of NHC in all of our eyes.

I remember Mr. Johnson from when I did my student teaching at NHHS. I also remember him from JHHS when he was in charge of the academic team and I was helping with a match at CHHS. So sorry for your loss. He was a very nice man.

Some people in your life leave a lasting impression and Dr. Johnson is certainly in that company. He was a fantastic teacher and I owe my love of chemistry and teaching in large part to him. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. Rest assured he is smiling down on all of you.

Mr. Johnson was such a fantastic teacher. His passion for chemistry influenced my career choice, and today I am a chemist because of him. I will always remember Mr. Johnson and miss him dearly.

I was saddened to learn yesterday that Peter had passed away. I have such fond memories of this amazing co-worker at North Hardin High School, and we served together on the SBDM Council. He was a wonderful Christian man, and he never failed to lend a helping hand whenever he could be of assistance. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May they feel God's comforting arms around you them to give them peace. Psalm 29:11

Some teachers leave an impression that lasts a lifetime...that was Mr. Johnson. His kindness and generosity of spirit made an impact on every student who spent time in his classroom. This kindness and generosity was passed on to his amazing children, and to those in the community who knew him, and his family. He was taken too soon and will be sorely missed by many. Our hearts go out to his family and all of those many lives that he touched along the way.

One of the best teachers I ever had in high school. He went above and beyond when I was a senior and had a baby. He allowed me to take my time away from school and to focus on bonding with my new baby. When I returned after 8 weeks he continued to support me any way he could.
