Ramona McDowell Obituary
She was a member of South Fork Baptist Church, a housewife and a dairy farmer.
Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McDowell; her parents, Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Beams Buchanon; and a sister, Nola Mae Dunbar.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Lee (David) Miller of Hodgenville; two sons, Wendell (Terri) McDowell of Sonora, and David (Machelle) McDowell of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, Kim (Kent) Montgomery, Kay (Larry) Howell, Josh (Emily) McDowell, Brandon (Kaelyn) McDowell, Kayla McDowell, Mason McDowell and Lindsay McDowell; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Mary Lois (John) Howell of Indiana, Myla (Virgil) Farris of Mount Washington; two brothers, Billy (Barb) Buchanon of Louisville; and Frank Buchanon of Nashville.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at South Fork Baptist Church, with the Rev. Norm Brock, the Rev. Gordon McDowell and the Rev. Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial follows in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
