Raymond Duvall Obituary

Raymond M. Duvall, 79, of Big Clifty, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Norton's Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville.

He was born in Dorchester, England, to Roy and Olive Duvall. He was a faithful member of Summit Church of Christ. Raymond was a U.S.A.F. veteran, who served his country from May 1963 until May 1967. In 1973, he accepted a position in civil service at Fort Knox, where he worked until 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Olive Duvall; as well as his sister, JoAnna Brosky.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Margie Rainey Duvall of Summit; his son, Michael Duvall of Elizabethtown; his daughter, Marcy (Jim) DuPlessis of Elizabethtown; his brother, David (Patty) Duvall of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Rosemary (Bruce) Belcher and Julia (Jamie) Hicks, all of Leitchfield; five grandchildren, Jay (LeighAnne) DuPlessis, Kate DuPlessis, Tori DuPlessis, Destiny Giffin and Ray Duvall; as well as a great-granddaughter, Jade DuPlessis.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Cecil Beauchamp officiating. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
