Retired Sgt. First Class Victor Leon-Rivera Obituary

Retired Sgt. First Class Victor Manuel Leon-Rivera, 64, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Leon-Rivera was retired from the U.S. States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Eve Marie Leon of Louisville; two daughters, Veronica Carter of Radcliff and Myra Smith and her husband, James, of Vine Grove; two sons, Victor Leon Jr. and his wife, Amber, of Louisville and Anthony Parker of Cambria, New York; three sisters, Rosa Leon, Carmen Rivera and Neyda Murria; four brothers, Carlos Leon, Robert Leon, Larry Leon and Jorge Leon; seven grandchildren, Alex Carter, Nelson Leon, Javen Smith, Isaiah Carter, Laylah Leon, Tajulian Smith and Mikaela Carter and two grandchildren on the way; and several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

The funeral for Mr. Leon-Rivera is at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial with military honors follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
