Robert Hall Obituary

Robert Hall Robert L. Hall (March, 1929 - October 4, 2014) was a man with many passions, tremendous business success and, as he would be the first to say, a man that lived a full life. He is known as a visionary and community business leader who was proud to have completed his "bucket list." He lived life passionately and fearlessly. Robert was surrounded by his loved ones as he passed to be with his Lord. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Hall; his brother, Chuck Hall; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charlie and Phyllis Chiado; three daughters, Linda Ruberto (Paul), Susan Bissonette (Charlie) and Barbara Hall. He was a proud grandpa to fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. His parents, sister Lorraine and son Bob preceded him in death. Those who knew him well will miss him dearly and remember him always for his determination, endless stories and wonderful sense of humor. His charming personality brought him the privilege of having many dear friends and loyal employees. He was a native Minnesotan and life-long entrepreneur with a passion for creating new projects. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. Robert traveled the world, he loved hunting and fishing, gardening, cooking and being with good friends and family. In 1994 Robert, along with his wife Margaret, moved to Paso Robles to plant vineyards, build the Robert Hall Winery, and launch a nationally distributed brand. The winery, tasting room and hospitality center were all Robert's vision and stand as a reminder that dreams really can come true with hard work and determination. The family will be holding a private memorial service. Please donate to Hospice in lieu of sending flowers. Sign his guestbook at sanluisobispo.com/obituaries

Prior Lake, MN Wine signing by Robert

Jan Franta

November 5, 2014

My husband, sister, and myself being from MN, were visiting the winery in Jan. 2014. We enjoyed Robert's visited with us and he had his assistant give us a great tour of the winery. I also had him sign several bottles after his very enjoyable wine tasting presentation in Prior Lake, this summer. I'm sure Robert will be missed by all who knew him.

I wish my beloved father peace and rest in Christ. He lived a full and satisfying life and died with great dignity.
I pray for comfort to all those who grieve his loss and forgiveness for the hearts of those who have been hurt. Non of us live a perfect life of peace and love toward others, but I believe we are called to this.
If I've learned one thing good by his passing it's this: Don't wait until the end to do your end of life work, you will reap great rewards.
