Ronald O’Bryant Obituary

Ronald Edward O'Bryant Sr., 81, lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

He was born Sept. 1, 1941, in Hodgenville, to Walter "Diddle" and Pauline (Vessels) O'Bryant. He attended Elizabethtown Catholic Schools, was a deacon at Southside Church of Christ and retired from IMI in 2003 after 18 years of service. He was an avid golfer and NASCAR fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Pauline O'Bryant; his son, Robert O'Bryant; and sisters, JoAnn Downs and Monica Nichols.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Rosa (Stewart) O'Bryant; son, Ronald O'Bryant Jr.; daughter, Trish Olson (Doug); brothers, Paul (Delphia) O'Bryant and Larry (Linda) O'Bryant; sister, Debbie Kessinger (Doug); grandchildren, Adam Faircloth, Kaleb and Jocelyn Olson.

A celebration of life is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at Elizabethtown Church of Christ, 1211 N. Dixie Ave.
