Thomas Rhoades Obituary
T.J. was born Aug. 3, 1962, in Greenville, the son of J.E. Rhoades and Ruth Alice Tingle. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. T.J. proudly served our country with the U.S. Air Force. T.J. was a State Farm Agent in Elizabethtown for 19 years
T.J. is survived by a daughter, Emily (Travis) Thomas of Elizabethtown; a son, Evan Rhoades of Elizabethtown; and a grandson, Lincoln Thomas of Elizabethtown; his father, J.E. Rhoades of Central City; a brother; Tony (Shelly) Rhoades of Bowling Green; a sister, Terri (Kevin) Rice of Central City; and many relatives and friends.
T.J. was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Rhoades in 2014.
A Mass celebrating Thomas' life is at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday Aug. 31, at St. James Catholic Church, 307 W. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown There will be no visitation time prior to service. A lunch gathering will be held at St. James Catholic Church immediately following the Mass.
The family asks that donations be directed to the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104 or The Historic State Theater, 209 W. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home, 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green to serve them.
