Timothy Vinson Obituary
He was saved as a young boy and was a member of Center Point Missionary Baptist Church.
Tim started milking cows and farming at a young age on the family farm which he enjoyed very much. He graduated from West Hardin High School in 1978, where he was an excellent football and basketball player.
He enjoyed working in water treatment and retired from Hodgenville water treatment plant in 2020 and was a class 4 water treatment plant operator.
He sure did enjoy mowing grass, raising gardens, a fast car and his motorcycles. He also enjoyed wood working.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Vinson and Lena Lee Priddy Vinson.
Survivors include three brothers, Wayne Vinson of Cecilia, Wendell Vinson of White Mills and Terry Vinson of Elizabethtown; a sister, Kimberly Vinson (Don Atteberry) of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews, a host of great friends and neighbors. He will be sadly missed by many.
The funeral is at noon Friday, May 12, at Center Point Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Robert Jewell and Brother Doug Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora.
