Albert Hanie Obituary

Albert (Gene) Hanie of Blue Ridge, GA passed away April 19, 2024
He was born November 11, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia and was the son of the late Frank E. Hanie and Pauline Hanie. Gene was the youngest of four children. His oldest sister Alma Reed of Covington, Georgia. Next was his sister Barbara Holcomb of Covington, Georgia and his sister Frankie Scott of Marietta, Georgia.
Gene is preceded in death by his son Leonard Jason Hanie.
He is survived by his wife Hazel Hanie; son Darron Hanie; grandson Marcus Hanie; granddaughter Kayla Hunt and great-grandchildren Mason Hunt, Lilah Hanie and Jazmine Hanie.
Gene and his wife Hazel moved back to Georgia in December of 1994, after living in Lake Havasu Arizona for 25 years. He worked for Rebels Pantry in Blue Ridge for 10 years and retired in 2004. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He became a Jehovah's Witness in 2006 and enjoyed the door to door ministry and sharing the good news about Jehovah God's kingdom and what his kingdom will do for mankind.
A memorial service was held for Gene May 5 at the Kingdom Hall of a Jehovah's Witnesses in Blue Ridge.
