Amanda Weaver

Amanda Hope Holsonback Weaver, age 45, of Epworth, went home to be with the Lord July 4, 2025, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.
Amanda was a beloved mother to her son, Stephen.
She lived her life for the Lord and gave her testimony many times at church and to others. She was saved when she was 10 years old and loved to talk about the goodness of the Lord.
Amanda was preceded in death by her husband of 14 wonderful years, Gary D. Weaver; her father, Rev. James "Big Jim" Holsonback; and her nephew, John A. Holsonback.
Amanda is survived by her son, Stephen Paul Weaver, age 14, whom she loved with all her heart; her mother, Betty Payne Holsonback; her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Melissa Holsonback; mother-in-law, Kathy Weaver of Ellijay; and her grandmother, Betty R. Holsonback; nieces, Hannah, Elisabeth, and Sarah; nephews, Benjamin and Luke; and special family members, Shaun, Tara, Della, Shaun T., and Michael Simmons and Samuel Hyatt. Many aunts and uncles also survive.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. from the Maple Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Phillips, Brother Trevor Phillips, and the Rev. Stacey Smith officiating.
Congregational music was led by Kenny Dean and Benny Eubanks. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen Weaver, Mark Holsonback, Luke Holsonback, Benjamin Holsonback, Shaun Simmons, Waylon O'Neal, and Samuel Hyatt.
The family visited with friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.
