Gary Abercrombie Obituary

Gary Abercrombie, age 62, of Cutcane Road, Mineral Bluff, Georgia, passed away peacefully following an extended illness Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Blue Ridge Medical Center.
He was born August 1, 1963, in Copperhill to the late Frank Abercrombie and Helen Adams.
Abercrombie was preceeded in death by his parents and his brother Spencer Evans.
As a life long resident of Fannin County, Abercrombie was a man who loved to work with his hands as his decades of carpentry showcased. Abercrombie never met a stranger which lead him to being well known by so many and loved by all who knew him.
He was always up for an adventure or a good time. He loved to share stories of his travels around the country working or his trips with those he held dear.
If you had the opportunity to know him, you already know the love and pride he had in his family and all those he loved.
Abercrombie's survivors include his children, Jesse Abercrombie, Amanda Norton, Nichole Phillips, and Anthony Abercrombie; his grandchildren, Haven Stiles, Ethan Lindsey, and Morgan Lindsey; his sisters, Lisa Evans and Glenda Dockery; and his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and LaVeta Wehunt. Among so many other beloved family members and friends.
The family has decided to hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made to The Herren Project, which helps individuals and families through addictions such as alcoholism: https://herrenproject.org/donate-3/.
Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of the arrangements.
