Jerry Clore

Mr. Jerry Lafette Clore, age 72, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Jerry was born November 5, 1950, to the late Alfred Lafette Clore and Loyce Fain Clore in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Jerry was of the Baptist faith. He worked for General Motors for 30 years as an assembly trainer. He also worked doing construction with his son. Jerry loved being outdoors, riding his motorcycles, and was an old car enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Barbara Henry and Jeanette Harris.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Peggy Clore; children, Jeremiah Clore (Mindy) and Tracy Harkins; siblings, Gerald Clore (Janet), Angie Jones (Robert), and Geneva Sapp; and grandchildren, Dawson Harkins, Myah Clore, and Jax Clore.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 2 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Randy Kaylor officiating. Interment followed in the Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jerry Wilson, Billy Wilson, Robert "Robo" Vivian, Jack Vivian, Mike Sands, and David Johnson.
