Mickie Cook

Mickie Lee Cook, age 71, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born May 25, 1954, to the late Melvin Andrew Cash and Peggy York Cash.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Lilly Cash and a nephew, Jacob Cash.
Mickie was a very active person in her family and community. She loved to do crafts and needle work creating memorable items for people to enjoy.
Mickie was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. She loved children and shared joyful times with them.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Cook; sons, Daniel and Sam Cash; brothers, Jerry Andrew Cash Sr., Tony Cash, Andrew Cash Jr. and Karl Cash; sisters, Donna Worley and Tina Morrow; grandchildren; Shawn Cash, Kyleigh Cash, Rebecca Cash, and Cheylynn Cash; one great-grand-chld; Riker Ledford. Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.
A memorial visitation time for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening, September 26, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home in McCaysville, Georgia. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12 noon from the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in McCaysville, Georgia, with the Rev. Ronny Crisp officiating.
The graveside interment will follow the memorial service in Copper Ridge Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations to the funeral home to defray final expenses be given.
