Roger Hensley

Roger Leon Hensley, age 84 of Turtletown, Tennessee passed away, June 16, 2023, in the Fannin Regional Hospital.
Born in Ducktown, Tennesse he was the son of the late Ralph W. and Edna Lorene Payne Hensley.
Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Roger began his long career of forty plus years of truck driving working for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines and retiring from K&S Tank Lines. He enjoyed outdoor activities including camping, fishing, boating, hunting and driving motorcycles and jeeps. Roger is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dennis Ronald Hensley.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sue Ellen Plemmons Hensley of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and Eddie Stiles and Beverly Hensley Kimsey all of Turtletown; grandchildren, Jessica Burger, Devon Kimsey and Peyton Kimsey.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 1 p.m. from the Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Music was provided by the Rev. Randy Hooper family. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating.
The following gentlemen were selected to serve as pallbearers, Devon Kimsey, Peyton Kimsey, Steve Kimsey, Kevin Thomas, Zane Chancey and Kenny Stuart. Serving as honorary pallbearers were, Glen Hughes, Larry Kimsey, Joe Ballew, Jeff Smith, R.M. Collins, Larry Patterson and Mike Worley.
The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
