Ernest Humphries Obituary
A graveside memorial service for Mr. Ernest Elton Humphries will be held at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens, West Monroe at 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 18, 2012 with the Rev. Braxton Humphries officiating.
Mr. Humphries was born on March 9, 1951 to the union of Ernest C. Humphries and Dorcus Marie Thompson and passed from this life on October 15, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Humphries served in the U. S. Marine Corp, was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the VFW and DAV. He was a retired surveyor for S. E. Huey Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry and son-in-law, Dustin Roper.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 12 years, Martha Herrick Humphries; daughters, Mechell Bezzard, Angelic Cicala and husband, Chris; siblings, Gary, Rita, Sara Humphries, Lewis Leggett and Carolyn Yuenger; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Harliegh Bezzard, Devin and Jared Roper; nephew, Garrett Humphries; nieces, Rachel Humphries and Heidi McHaffie; sister-in-law, Mary Jarrell, and many close friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

Saying goodbye to a fellow Vietnam Vet is difficult and I am saddened by the passing of Elton. I honor him and enjoyed his friendship. Pain is over efter all these years. RIP Elton
