ROANOKE, AL- James Thomas Greer, III, age 71, of Roanoke died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Traylors Nursing Center in Roanoke, Alabama.
Survivors include: two sons, Jason Greer of LaGrange, GA, and Douglas Watford of Stockbridge, GA; five grandchildren; Marilyn Greer of Rock Mills; and two aunts, Mildred Shehane of Columbus, GA, and Frances Greer Rentz of Orlando, FL.
A Columbus, Georgia native, Mr. Greer was born on August 3, 1942, the son of James Thomas Greer, Jr., and Margaret Foster Greer. He was an outstanding member and JW with IBEW for 51 years and the 110 Club and the Bee's. Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, James Bryan Greer, Jeffery Thomas Greer; and one brother, Roderick "Rod" A. Greer.
As his wishes, Mr. Greer was cremated and there will be no funeral service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Life Choice Hospice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
