James Hughes Obituary

James Wesley Hughes

Memorial services for James Wesley Hughes, 78, of Winnsboro, will be held 5 pm Sunday, October 4, 2015, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Bro. Huey Hughes officiating. Visitation will be 2 pm until time of service.

Mr. Hughes was born March 30, 1937, in Mangham to the union of William Leonard Hughes and Rosa Vester Cockrell Hughes and passed into eternal rest on October 2, 2015 at St. Frances Medical Center in Monroe.

Mr. Hughes was the youngest of eight children. He greatly enjoyed music. Mr. Hughes was a very talented individual who could work on and repair almost anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents: three brothers: Clinton, Bernice, and Clyde; and two sisters: Ella Mae and Eva Rae.

Survivors include three sons: Tony Hughes and wife Allison of Winnsboro, Graylon Hughes of Winnsboro, Kent Hughes and wife Chat of Monroe; one daughter Carmen Hughes of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren: Cody, Skyler, Zachary, Ethan, Hannah and Allie Hughes, and Anna Carolyne Lambert; mother of his children and friend Carolyn Blount of Winnsboro; two brothers Troy and Huey Hughes.
