John Myers Obituary
Funeral services for John A. Myers of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ. Rev. Jimmy Williams and Rev. Bill Hearne will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
John was born on July 21, 1960 in Athens, Tennessee and passed away on September 23, 2016 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University and worked as a certified insurance counselor with Hogan Agency for over 25 years. John attended Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe and was passionate about helping others. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Kaye Myers; son, Justin Myers (Brittany); daughters, Jenna Myers and Kristin Myers; brothers, Buddy Myers (Beth), Richard Myers (Kim), and Steven Myers (Tracy); and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Dement, Gordon Vann, Mark Linkous, Joe Ware, Walter Haynes, and Bo Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hammond and Don Palmer.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 26, 2016 at Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe.

Went to High School with John and worked with him in the insurance industry. He was as fine a fellow and human that there ever was. A good friend and I always enjoyed running into him either in person or on the phone and getting a chance to visit with him. Sad to see him leave us. We will see him in heaven with the Good Lord.

I am shocked and saddened to read this! I just spoke with John last week! I have worked with him for the past 19 years in the insurance business and he has always assisted me when help was needed. I can only say that Heaven has another angel! God bless and prayers for the family.
