Laverne Roberts Obituary
Funeral Services for Laverne Roberts, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Bro. Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Roberts was born April 8, 1927 and passed away December 23, 2014. She was retired from Manville Paper Mill in West Monroe. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Rosa Meek; and four brothers, Dale Kirk, W.C. Kirk, Macon Kirk and Eldon Kirk.
Survivors include her children, Russ Roberts and wife Minerva, and Gayle Angerdina and husband Larry; grandchildren, Cori Anderson and husband Eric, Amanda Reynolds and husband Daniel, Russ Roberts and wife Alanna, Lucas Roberts, Jessica Angerdina, Loren Angerdina and Joshua Crowe; eight great grandchildren; a sister in law Phyllis Holland of Pomona, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Landmark Nursing Center and also to Hospice Family Alliance.
