Stephen Justice Obituary
Born in Demorest on August 11, 1958, he was a son of the late James Lee & Sally Louise Segars Justice. Wendell was a mechanic with over 30 years of expertise in the automotive industry. He was the owner/operator of Transmission Pro Shop for over 11 years before retirement in 2007. In his spare time, Wendell enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for making music with his bass guitar at church, restoring old cars, fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a faithful member of Good News Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Lee Justice; his sister, Velma Justice Waddell; & niece, Lisa Waddell York.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Elaine Smith Justice of Cornelia; children, Amy Justice Nation & her husband, Johnny, Sr.; and son, Stacey Justice, all of Cornelia; Debbie Purcell & her husband, Brent of Carnesville; brothers & sister-in-law, Virgil Justice of Toccoa; Fred & Teresa Justice of Cornelia; step-sister, Nancy Glenn of Lavonia; grandchildren, Brianna Justice, Hannah Justice, Christian Justice, Isaiah Justice, Lanie Mae Justice, Justin & Jamie Gosnell, Matthew Gosnell, Johnny Nation, Jr., Christopher & Shannon Purcell; great-grandchild, Grady Purcell; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, & a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Good News Baptist Church with Rev. Austin Kelley & Mr. Robbie Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Rev. Chris York officiating at the graveside.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. & from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
