Bonnie Becker Obituary

Becker, Bonnie

Bonnie Becker, age 69, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday evening, January 28, 2014, at her home. Born on July 16, 1944, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Ralph H. and Lucille J. (Anunson) Becker, Bonnie was a well-known waitress in the Oshkosh area. She was employed by the Roxy, Winemaker, Kodiak Jack's, Ramada Inn, and for 22 years at Robbin's. Bonnie was a bartender for St. Thomas, Terry's, and Sidetrack.

A member of a musical family, Bonnie played drums and sang vocals for the Becker Harmonettes and was the leader of Bonnie Lee & the Escorts Rock Band. Bonnie taught music at Becker Music Center for many years and directed the Symphonic Orchestra at St. John Lutheran Church. Bonnie's favorite songs to sing were "Misty Blue" and many of Patsy Cline's tunes. Known as BonBon by many of her friends, she was a coordinator for Gold Star Bus Tours. Bonnie enjoyed going on bus tours with her mother to play at various casinos. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts while her son, Scott, was active in scouting. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, meat raffles, and all kinds of decorating. Bonnie took a very active interest in flower gardening as well as other types of gardening which could be seen around her home. She was a past Southwest Rotary member. Bonnie took great pride in the care she gave to her parents for three and a half years.

Survivors include a son, Scott Becker, a grandson, Jacob Becker, a brother, Roger Becker, two sisters, Lorene Becker and LuAnn Kraemer, two nieces, Katy Ferry and Nichole Ponzer, and several cousins. Preceding Bonnie in death are her parents and twin brothers, Randolph and Ralphy Becker.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.seefeldfuneral.com.
