Conrad Krause Obituary

Krause, Conrad

Conrad (Con) Peter Krause 64, passed away on April 22nd, 2017. Con died in the comfort of his home with his daughter and girlfriend, Perri, by his side.

Con was born, July 19, 1952 in Berlin Wisconsin, the eldest son of Robert and Eleanor Krause. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1970 where he and his friends gave the staff of the school a run for their money! Fun and laughter always ensued when Con was with his friends.

Con was employed by Oshkosh Corporation (formally Oshkosh Truck) for 31 years. Con was a good man, hardworking and committed both to his occupation and to those he loved. Con had his three girls (as he called them), his daughter Courtney, his granddaughter Elleanor and his girlfriend Perri. Con was most content when he was spending time with his girls. They were the source of much joy, happiness and pride in his life. All he wished for was to have more time to spend with them.

Another joy in his life was the time he spent at Pearl Lake. As a child, he and his siblings would spend their summers water skiing, swimming and enjoying family time. As Con grew up, he and his friends spent time at the lake causing whatever mischief we know happened but cannot put into writing (Bob still doesn't know those stories!). As an adult Con shared Pearl Lake with his daughter and her friends. He developed many meaningful friendships with the families that also had cottages at the lake. Pearl Lake and the memories he made there always held a special place in his heart. He lived a simple life yet very fulfilling life.

Con found true happiness later in life with his girlfriend Perri, and shared 8 ½ wonderful years together. They shared a very special relationship and a love that was genuine and special.

Con leaves behind family and friends who will greatly miss him. His girlfriend, Perri Fredrick of Berlin, his daughter Courtney (Bryan) Donati of Dayton, Ohio, his granddaughter Elleanor Donati, his father Robert Krause of Berlin, a brother Paul Krause of Berlin, and sister Stephanie Krause of Fond du Lac. Also, a niece and a nephew, Magan (Mani) Umar of Massapequa, N.Y. and A.J. (Kathy) Krause of Virginia Beach, VA. Con was preceded in death by his dear mother, Eleanor Krause, who passed one month to the day before Con.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday April 28th at Wiecki - Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin from 4-7 pm and again on Saturday from 9-10 am

We will miss Con's warm smile and sense of humor.

Dad/Papa, we love you, bigger than the world!

"God saw you getting tired

and a cure was not to be

so he put his arms around you

and whispered, "come to Me".

With tearful eyes we watched you

and saw you pass away

and although we love you dearly

we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating

hardworking hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best."

Sympathy to you all on behalf of Ron Briese, who also worked at Oshkosh Truck for over 30 years and today, April 30 marks his third year of passing. He was only 57 years old and went quickly. Take one day at a time. With time the terrible pain will ease. Thoughts and prayers are sent your way.
