Wiegert (nee Hutchison), Delores

Delores Wiegert, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Evergreen Health Care Center in Oshkosh.

Delores was born in Sheboygan, WI, on April 10, 1925, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Hulda (Rosso) Hutchison. She married Albin Wiegert in Manitowoc, WI, on October 14, 1944. They lived in Appleton from 1946 until 2006, when they moved to Oshkosh.

Delores and Albin had a daughter Susan and a son Robert. She stayed at home to be with her children, which she felt was very important. Delores enjoyed flower gardening and sewing clothes; but especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Susan (Merrin) Koechell, Oshkosh; two grandchildren: Jami (Dave) Jakubek, Neenah and Cory (Nicki) Wiegert, Appleton; one great-granddaughter, Ella Wiegert; two step-granddaughters: Wendy (Jeff) Jagodinski and Kim Gonia; three step-great-grandchildren: Matthew, Heather and Amanda; four step-great-great-grandchildren: Mason, Halle, Arianna and Axel; special nephew and his wife Eugene and Sharon Pingel. She is further survived by one aunt, Francis Hutchison, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Al on December 15, 2009, after 65 years of marriage; her son Robert in 2005; her parents; as well as her brother and his wife, Raymond and Emma Hutchison.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the employees at Evergreen Retirement Community, who took such good care of Delores the past 9 years; as well as the staff of Heartland Hospice for their assistance during the past 2 years.

A funeral service for Delores will take place at 11AM, Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel, with Greg Braatz officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
