Bunkelmann, Harold Herbert

Harold Herbert Bunkelmann, age 90, of Ripon, WI, has gone to be with Jesus on Monday, November 11, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.

Harold was born February 9, 1923, in Boltonville, WI, the son of William and Melinda (Klumb) Bunkelmann. He graduated from Kewaskum High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Harold expanded his education at University of Wisconsin - Platteville and in Greeley, Colorado. He was employed as a teacher and a science administrator in an elementary school. In 1949, Harold married Ruth D. Jeske in Kewaskum, WI. Harold was a member of the Illinois Science Teachers Association, National Science Teachers Association, American Legion Post 306 and Izaak Walton League. He was also a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Lake.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ruth Bunkelmann of Ripon, WI; his daughter, Jean (Peter) Mockus of Green Lake, WI; his son, John Bunkelmann of Grand Junction, CO; two grandchildren, Asa and Quillan; two great-grandchildren, Harlan and Lilah; one sister, Helen Smith of Green Lake, WI; two brothers, Wilmer (Doris) Bunkelmann of West Bend, WI and Dick Bunkelmann of Kingman, AZ and many cousins and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Frances Diener and brother, Byron Bunkelmann.

Visitation for Harold will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 10 - 11:00 am at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 440 Lake St., Green Lake, WI 54941.

Funeral service for Harold will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 am at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Lake. Reverend Rodney E. Dietsche will officiate. Interment will follow with Full Military Honors at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials may be directed to Green Lake Animal Shelter, N6217 Busse Dr., P.O. Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54971.
