Howard will be fondly remembered for his tireless lawn work and his pride and joy New Holland tractor. He enjoyed taking walks along Highway 21 and was always seen wearing his cowboy hat.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, LaVeila "Trixie" Schwersenska; one daughter, Janice "Jan" (Kerry) McCarron, Plainfield; one sister, Susan "Sue" (Douglas) France, Portage; sister-in-law, Neoma Schwersenska, Westfield; special nieces, Kathy Lynn Schwersenska and Margie Phipps, both of Coloma. Howard is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

I have known Windy ALL my life. I am so shocked to see this in the paper. I was just checking it for something else and here I found this it hurts my heart to see it. He has ALWAYS been such a SUPER SWEET person right along with his Sweet wife who I have been so worried about since we saw them at the Chickn Chew. Now to see this. I'm so VERY SORRY for your loss. He's 1 of the Sweetest men I have EVER EVER met!! He will be GRATELY MISSED.HIS SMILE was endless and he ALWAYS remembered who you were no matter how long it was that you last saw him. Rest well Windy. Or walk those clouds they'll be a lot softer then the roads that you used to walk all the time. You will be sooo MISSED. I'm sorry we didn't know, we also just had a couple of great losses in our own family our selves so we were kinda busy. Dean & Lila lost Lila's sister and we just lost our own Aunt or we would have been there for you. Again this was such a shock to see.

I have many fond memories of my acquaintance with Howard in our younger days and La Viela as a high school classmate.. Our love and sympathy to your family .In his earlier years he drove milk truck for his father. Would see him on a daily basis. I remember La Veila as a high school classmate.
