For what ever reason I decided to look up Maney Flegler and thankfully found this web-site. I remember working with Mike as his case worker and meeting his wonderful parents and sister. I am retired, but still preaching part time in Salisbury, NC. My thoughts and prayers are with the family even though I can't remember the names.

I just attend Maney's funeral,it squeezed my heart to hear the beautiful tribute the family gave to their dad. There were tears, laughter, and good stories. That room was filled with love! Maney is gone physically but will live forever in all he left behind. God Bless you all!

DAD WAS "PROMOTED TO GLORY". I LEARNED THAT PHRASE WHEN I WORKED FOR THE SALVATION ARMY. I THINK IT IS THE MOST COMFORTING AND TRUE PHRASE FOR DEALING WITH OUR LOVED ONES.
I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF MY FAMILY.

While we all never spent as much time together as we should have, I have and will always have a warm spot in my heart filled with love for Uncle Manny.
My Mom his [Sister] loved him so much how could I not.
His Jokes made me laugh his smile showed his love and affection for us all, that devilish little grin will be imbedded in my mind forever.
Take care to all my cousins and my Aunty Pat.
I love you all more than I can express.
Time will heal the hurt but the memories of your dad and Husband will last forever.
Love to all Tom and Nadine Balestrieri.
God Bless you all.

My deepest sympathies to Pat, Barb, Marybeth, Vicky, Kim, and Michael.
Maney played a very important part in my life...he told me the "facts of life" about my uncontrolled drinking, and my poor relationship ability. In my story, I still tell how he took an interest in me, and got me to go to AA.
God Bless him, and his family.
He was a fine example as a husband, father, Marine, boxer, golfer, Oshkosh fire chief, fire 'fighter"..not fireman,(that dummy powers a train), and i'm sure grandpa.
He may have appeared gruff to some, but he was a caring and loving Teddy Bear.
May he rest in peace.
