I loved my uncle Michael very much! We lived out of state so I didn't have the bonding as most of you had, but I do have some very fond memories. When grandma was looking for me or noticed the salt shaker missing she knew where I was, the green apple tree. She quit asking me to go pick the peas out of the garden unless she was with me cuz I ate more than I brought in. I loved her peas, slide the pod through your teeth and the little peas popped out in your mouth. Uncle Michael was the mash potato guy and she always made them like he was the only one who was eating them. And his cereal bowl, holy moly big foot size. My uncle mike always took me on tractor rides and let me drive, no matter how bad I was doing he never scolded me, I was probably 5-8ish when we went up to Wisconsin every summer. I remember him telling me about how every year they had to go through the fields and get the big boulders out before planting, I remember he let me drive his truck it was a four speed and I was asking questions about the clutch he said if a deer runs out in front of you don't worry about the clutch just slam on your brakes! Lol! I remember one time after lunch and uncle Victor and uncle mike got up from their naps we played a game of ball. I was little I managed to hit the ball and a little help from my family I made it to 1st base, uncle mike was up after me before he even hit the ball he yelled run robin run and I did and he scooped me up and carried me to home plate and we both scored-he made me feel like I was the one to hit the home run. I wish we were closer together and had more stories to tell there are more but like I want my family to meet my grandchildren and it's hard for my children and their families to get all together during the holidays and we are all in a 40 mile radius except for Skye she is living in Illinois and engaged and I'm going to send uncle Victor and aunt Diane all our info love you!!!
