Robert Schafer Obituary
Oshkosh - Robert "Bob" L. Schafer, age 74, of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born in Oshkosh on December 28, 1946 to the late Lyle and Marion (Peerenboom) Schafer. Bob was united in marriage to Kathy Duex on April 8, 1967.
Bob worked at Oshkosh Corporation for 42 years until he retired in 2009. He was an avid Brewer fan along with enjoying watching any Wisconsin sports team and NASCAR. Even through not feeling well, he still could bet with his daughter, a Bears fan, that the Packers would win and tease her about the $1 she owed him when they won. Bob also took any opportunity he could to be out on the golf course and enjoyed spending time up north for the weekends.
Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Schafer; two children: Kerry (Kevin) Kulick, Robert (Kris) Schafer; and two grandchildren: Caitlyn (Jacob) Putzer, Alyssa (Mitch) Ringler.
Per Bob's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.

The Oshkosh Area Humane Society would like to extend its condolences to Kathy, Kerry, Robert, and all of Bob's family. We are sorry for your loss.
