Shawn O'Callaghan Obituary
Shawn Mae O'Callaghan died unexpectedly on July 13, 2015 in the City of Milwaukee.
Shawn Mae was born in Plant City, Florida on October 6,1984 to Sandy Bernier and William O'Callaghan. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in 2003 and then the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a degree in Human Services and Arts.
In 2009 she moved to the Twin Cities and worked as a Service Provider and Home Manager for individuals with disabilities while pursuing a Master Degree in Leadership through the University of Colorado.
Shawn was devoted to saving the planet through teaching and practicing the importance of recycling. She enjoyed hiking, backpacking and was a talented, amateur photographer. She had fun with Karoke, developing her beautiful voice with a special love for Bob Dylan's music. Shawn was a spiritual woman who practiced Yoga and Meditation. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes on her family and friends.
Shawn is survived by her parents; Bill O'Callaghan (Louise Ransom) and Sandy (Mike) Bernier; her sisters, Trisha O'Callaghan and Samantha Bernier, and her brother Jerome O'Callaghan. She is further survived by her Grandmother Ellamarie O'Callaghan; her Uncles, Tom O'Callaghan (Marla), Dan O'Callaghan (Grace), John O'Callaghan, Mark Rasmussen and Aunts, Sally O'Callaghan (Charles), Kathy Libby, Leah Woods, Cookie Burton, and her special friend Nicole Jagdfeld along with numerous cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Gerhart Rasmussen and Jerome T. O'Callaghan, Grandmother, Beatrice Rasmussen, and her Uncle Dave Clark.
A celebration of Shawn`s life will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Ledgeview Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum, N6250 Co Rd K, Fond du Lac, WI 54937.
In lieu of Flowers, friends may memorialize Shawn with a donation to one of the following local organizations:Solutions Center of Fond du Lac Homeless Shelter, The ARC Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac Center for Spirituality & Healing or NAMI Fond du Lac.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

I will never forget Shawn's smile, it lit up the room. The work she did should only inspire the rest of us to keep striving for a better world.
