Steven H. Binder Sr.

1930 - 2016

Steven H. Binder Sr., 86, Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Friday, December 23, 2016. Steve was born November 26, 1930, in Rushford, WI, the son of Edward and Mary (Sippl) Binder. He married Frances Karl on December 6, 1952, and she preceded him in death on August 23, 2007.

Up until our dad took his last breath he was saying how great of a family he had. He so enjoyed family trips to Vegas, Wisconsin Dells, and any cookouts and gatherings held. Steve had a love of storytelling, a sense of humor always, and a charm that made everyone instantly fall in love with him. Our dad enjoyed teasing his grandkids, called his granddaughters his four queens, and loved Sunday Packer games with his kids and their spouses. We were blessed to call him our dad, grandpa, and friend.

Steve is survived by his two children: Steven Jr. (Marlene) Binder and Laura (Scott) Fuller; grandchildren: Tyhler (Matthew) Lynch, Krista (Peter) Remy, Alyssa (Andrew) Jarvis, and Natalie Nicole Binder; great grandchildren: Peyton and Austin Lynch, Bryce, Baileigh, and Braeden Remy, and Jacob and Dottie May Jarvis; a sister, Patricia Schneider; a sister-in-law, Dawn Binder.

In addition to his wife, Steve was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Binder, and sister, Maryann Binder.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
