To the Family of Chris Niemiec,
I just learned of Chris's passing, and my heart goes out to you. I worked with Chris at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, and not a day went by without Chris's good morning greeting and smile. He was a very special and thoughtful young man. When my father was in the hospital, Chris made us some delicious homemade enchilladas. Even though he looked so tired, after working long hours, he still took the time to see how we were doing. Chris will always have a place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Chris was a hilarious guy and bit of a legendary personality at LM in Fort Worth. I sat next to Chris for about six months, and I would normally end up laughing uncontrollably at least once a day from our conversations. The office became a little less fun when he left.
Like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, and Langdok, and Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. (a quote from The Big Lebowski, that Chris loved so well)
My condolences to his family. He was a good guy.

Dear Niemiecs,
I was very sorry to hear about the loss of Chris. Practically growing up at your house with Shelly, I have many fond memories of Chris throughout the years. Even when we ran into each other after many years apart he was very pleasant and asked how everything was going. My love and support go out to you in this difficult time.

Niemiecs,
There are so many things that I would like to say, but words are very difficult to come by. My heart goes out to your entire family. Chris was a great friend for many years, and was always somebody I could depend on. Anybody who was ever around him could say that he always made their day better. I will be praying for him and your family. Sending my love.

My heart was saddened to hear about Chris this morning. I've only worked a short time with Chris on projects with General Dynamics and Anniston Army Depot. I truly enjoyed working with Chris; as he was very dependable, respectful and always seem to be a team player with such a good attitude. I will truly miss Chris! My prayers go out to his family.

Dear Niemiec Family,
Chris was friends with the same crowd as my son Benjamin Schwartz. Chris was even at my home the night the kids all found two kittens in our neighbors woodpile in 2006. Chris came up with the names Rocky and Balboa. The cats are still with me and are now 5 years old. They are are my constant companions. I just heard of Chris' passing from a friend.
I can't express my sympathies deeply enough.
Just know that you are all in my prayers,
Sincerely,
Maggie Schwartz (Ben's Mom)

It was always a pleasure working with Chris. His soft-spoken nature and positive attitude made discussions with him meaningful and productive. Watching him grow as an employee and person during the relatively short time he was at GDLS is heartwarming. He is missed.

Dear Mr. & Mrs Niemiec,
I learned of Chris' death while on travel. I was Chris' mentor when he first started with General Dynamics. I was truely shocked.
Chris was one of the finest individuals I had the opportunity to work with. I found him to be a very thoughtful and caring young man. He always displayed a light, up-beat positive attitude.
I am very sorry for your loss. I know these words cannot change what has happened or remove the pain and loss your are suffering. Chris touched my life in a positive way as I am sure he did with many others who had the great fortune to meet him.
May God bless and comfort your family during this difficult time.
Chris will be deeply missed.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Chris. We knew eachother for years, attending Hart Middle School and Adams High School where we played football. While we grew apart after high school, the great memories and times we shared will live on forever. He will never be forgotten by the Class of 2003
My deepest condolences,

Niemiec family, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Chris at GDLS and he was so friendly. I remember one day he stopped me as I walking to tell me how much he liked the necklace I was wearing. I thought it was so sweet for him to notice and complement me. We talked about our shared love for art often. I will miss him.

Chris was truly "one of a kind". He was so very thoughtful, courteous and genuinely sincere when asking how you were doing and so very appreciative of any assistance he received. I know he enjoyed baseball. We talked about how great the Tigers were doing this year. I hadn’t worked with Chris for very long here at General Dynamics, but I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this very sad time.

Dear Niemiec Family,
Chris will be sorely missed here at GDLS. He made a point to ask me about my family and was genuinely interested in my response. He always had a smile on his face and had such a wonderful attitude and outlook on life. He was professional, hardworking and wanted to do the right thing. Even though I only knew him for a short time, I can say that my life was touched by his presence in it. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Niemiec Family: Although I didn't know Chris long at General Dynamics, his bright smile, consideration for others and friendly character made a huge impact on many, especially myself. We often discussed Michigan Football and we looked forward to the upcoming Notre Dame game. I couldn't help but think of him many times throughout the game this past Saturday. He will be sorely missed by all.

Dear Niemiec Family (Bob, Noreen, Shelly, and other friends and family who will certainly miss Chris), Chris had such a positive influence on me. When we interviewed him for the GDLS job, we asked why he wanted to move to Michigan. He said with a smile that he wanted to be closer to his family. He explained that he was from Michigan and wanted to be back home. From the photos, one can see that he had a happy life with you. I for one at GDLS will miss him. He was always so grateful for even the smallest of assistance he was given to learn his new job at GDLS. He would pass my desk every night and wish me a good night or good evening.. He always had a smile.
Rest in peace, Dear Chris.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Chris at General Dynamics and a day didn't go by without Chris walking past my desk with a smile on his face and a genuine inquiry about how you were doing. Chris would always ask about my mom because he knew that she had been very sick for some time and also asked if I was going to see my twin granddaughthers over the weekend. Chris told me about a trip he had taken to Wrigley Field to see a baseball game. He said it was just a great weekend. Chris was bright and so very personable with everyone. Every evening on his way out the door he was sure to say "Have a great evening". He will be missed. Diane Banner
