I am grateful for all the Greek that Frank taught me. I am grateful that he was one of the readers for my dissertation. at CUA.

I knew father Frank from St. Nicholas parish in Laurel, MD. We moved away from MD almost 5 years ago but Father Frank has been on my mind so I looked him up. So sad to see he has passed away. He was an amazingly inspriring priest whose homilies brought life to Scriptures. Father Frank I hoped you have completed many marathons in your time in heaven...RIP>

I learned to read Greek in Father Gignac's "Gospel of John" class at CUA ('88), and I pass on his love of classics every year to my own students. He was a major inspiration in my life.

We are so saddened by the news of Father Frank's death, which we learned about belatedly. A brilliant scholar, he was one of my religion professors at The Catholic University of America. He was both an avid runner and supporter of our college swim team. He frequently volunteered as a timer at our home meets. I kept in touch with him over the years, and he officiated our wedding in 2004. We will truly miss him. God rest his soul. Requiescat in pace.

Frank married us, baptized our daughter, and was a wonderful friend. The Jesuits lost one of their finest.

We will miss his smile and the faith he had in all of us. How sad that his voice will no longer be available to us; he truly gave us an interpretation of the scriptures that was both scholarly and full of love. I only wish I had been able to save all of his homilies.

For twenty years, mentor, role model & friend. He will forever be missed. Say 'hello' to Vinnie for me.

Frank was a scholar with a heart. When I came from UK he oriented me to the life at Fordham. I found him through my UK math teacher, they had been roommates at Oxford. In our family, well he married John and I at Fordham Church, there was no wedding or christening without him. He was godfather to our oldest son, married him and baptized his children as well. He ran the Catholic crew team with John Jr and his wife Bridgette later on. He liked to run, even when he could not really walk. He liked warm weather and working late at night. "I can never catch up to my work" he would say, and perhaps that is how it should be.

From our days in Curley Hall, I remember Frank well. Fine scholar, popular teacher, and committed runner. Now he can rest those hurting knees...maybe! In my thoughts and prayers, Frank. Peace.
