Marvin Hubbard Obituary

HUBBARD, MARVIN L.; of Oscoda, formerly of Pontiac; passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at his home; age 76 years. He was born on September 25, 1936 in Pontiac. Marvin retired from the Grand Trunk Western Railroad in Pontiac after working as a Yard Master and Railroad Clerk for over 50 years. He will always be remembered for his interest and enthusiasm for racing and working on Hot Rod classic automobiles. Marvin is survived by his five loving children, Bruce Hubbard of Ohio, Carol (Greg) White of Clarkston, Mark (Joann) Hubbard of Clarkston, Brian (Claudette) Hubbard of Oscoda, and Robynne Hubbard of Waterford; five grandchildren; eight sisters, Kay, Linda, Joann, Mabel, Carol, Bonnie, Margaret and Sue; two brothers, Bill and Jerry; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Charles, Ray, Richard, and Dave. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will have a Celebration of his Life at a later date in the summer. An on line guest registry is available at

Cremation arrangements are by the Buresh Funeral Home of Oscoda.

I hadn't seen Uncle Marv since I was a teenager, and had heard that he was in poor health for several years...my sympathy and best wishes to his family!
