Patrick F. Baldwin

In Loving Memory Patrick F. Baldwin of Ortonville, Michigan passed away on September 14, 2016. Pat was born January 1, 1959 to Catherine G. Baldwin and James M. Baldwin. His claim to fame was being the first baby born in Pontiac in ’59. A man of integrity who had a great love for his family and friends, Pat was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was loved by many and had a positive impact on virtually everyone he met. He spent his life serving the public, first working in the health care field, then serving in the Army as an MP, which in turn led to his 31-year career as a Police Officer, climbing the ranks to Lieutenant. He was an avid marksman and enjoyed sharing his skills as an instructor; known to many as the Range Master. He loved spending time with his family and friends, practicing Martial Arts, and enjoying an occasional whiskey (in fact, he was quite the connoisseur). He had earned his black belt in Tang Soo Do, was actively teaching and working towards his 2nd Dan, while also learning a new discipline, Kage Iaijutsu Ryu. He enjoyed reading, photography and music, and was always learning. When he entered a room he filled it with his ready smile and vibrant, commanding personality. Pat is survived by his wife Paula; daughter Pamela; mother Catherine; sisters Catherine Lemley, Joan Checca (Dennis), Ann Thacher (Brad), Mary Prieto, Barbie Baldwin; brother Richard Baldwin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Patrick and brother James in 2012. Pat is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
