Thomas A. Persha

PERSHA, THOMAS A.; of Birmingham; died peacefully at home November 5, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was 65 years old. Tom was born May 16, 1947, in Detroit, to Rheta (nee Wangler) and Nickolas Persha. A graduate of Kimball High School, Tom went on to receive his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Oakland University. Tom met Kathy Cade in 1970 while working at Chrysler and on July 1, 1975, they married. They eventually settled in Birmingham where they raised their three children. In 1976, Tom created his own computer software company, BCC, Inc., which in time acquired nearly 500 clients. Tom enjoyed hiking, swimming, and all things outdoors. He also loved poetry, Michigan wine, and music, especially The Doors. A devoted son, husband, father, and brother, Tom Persha was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy, son, Eric Persha, and daughters, Courtney (Michael Moon) Persha and Shannon Persha. He is also survived by his mother, Rheta Persha, brother, Gerald (Olga) Persha, and sister, Shirley (John) Coker. Tom is preceded in death by his father, Nickolas Persha. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.)
