Adnan Anwar Obituary
Ed Anwar, 48, a 28 year resident of Olympia, died March 25, 2010. He was born March 11, 1962. He is survived by his wife Mary and a son and daughter. He was a Master Auto Mechanic and owner of Checkered Flag Automotive, Lacey.
A Celebration of Ed's life will begin at 4:00p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the South Sound Manner, 455 North Street SE, in Tumwater. Those who wish may attend the viewing before the service beginning at 2:00p.m.

I was a customer of Ed since he bought the business where the current 76 station is on the corner of Pacific and Boulevard. He did an excellent job on all my vehicles these many years. I really enjoyed his personality and besides, who had better more interesting restroom? I just heard of his death yesterday and am very sorry for it. My sympathy to his family. His death is a loss to the community.

I'm very sorry for the loss of Adnan (Ed). I knew him from my place of work. Ed was always friendly, businesslike, and had a smile in his eyes. He is missed. A.S.Palmer,GHC.
I met Adnan when I was admiring his clean and tidy shop. I could tell he would be a careful and exacting craftsman with my car and he was, but with his pleasant and outgoing personality, we became friends as well. His absence leaves a large hole in my life.
Be happy Ed, we'll be thinking of you....
