Alix Toebbe

Alix was born September 12, 1948 to Ward and Carna Trager in Olympia, Wash. She died April 27, 2002 after a battle with melanoma. Alix graduated from Olympia High School in 1965 and Western Washington University in 1972. She was an owner of Toebbe's Clam Farm and spent the past 26 years as a shellfish farmer. She enjoyed spending time on the beach, time with her family, gardening, M & M's, and her afternoon nap. Alix was married on December 1, 1974 to Robert Toebbe, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2002. She is survived by her children, Tye Toebbe and Carrie Stricklett; her mother, Carna Trager Russell; her brother, Dwight Trager; and many other family members and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 12:00 noon. It will be held at Westwood Baptist Church at 333 Kaiser Rd. in Olympia.
