I worked at DSHS with Carol from the time I was hired until Carol retired. She was a wonderful person to work with. I only remember one slight disagreement and that was funny, looking back at it. We both wanted to do the same page of typing because we each thought the other was too busy. We laughed about it later because neither of us could remember who won, just that we most likely spent longer "discussing" it than it would have taken either of us to do it.
I remember her as a good friend, I can give her no greater epitaph.

I worked with Carol for many years at DSHS in Chehalis and she became a good friend. She was the secretary for the Social Services unit and she kept us all in line! Without her services we could not do our jobs. Carol had a wonderful sense of humor, and despite her slender stature, she was one of the strongest women I have known. My prayres and thoughts are with your family, Carol and may you be at peace.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Carol when she interviewed me for her position at the Chehalis DSHS office. She was so very kind to me and, after she chose me for the job, she trained me to take her place. Just so you all know, NO ONE could take her place! She was fun and feisty and a true friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I know she will be missed.
