I unfortunately never met Carol. But I am eternally indebted for the work she did with incarcerated youth. Specifically in creating the Gateways for Incarcerated Youth Program. It was in this program that I was able to find something I did not know had been lost, my inner child. I was an incarcerated youth in the early 90s in Washington State. I did not know what had been lost until I found it in 2022/23 as a 47 year old sophomore at TESC. Carol your legacy lives on in my community service, and the deep well of love and empathy that I carry in my heart. Rest In Power
