Carolyn Bingham Obituary

Carolyn Anne Bingham, 68, of Tumwater, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, May 9, 2008, at her home surrounded by her children.
Born September 5, 1939 in Monroe to Alvin and Marguerite (Pfeiffer) Schrag, she grew up and graduated high school in Snohomish. She married Jerry Hewling and had her first child, Marla. After divorcing, she met and married William Lerch. They had three children together. She later returned to Olympia where she reconnected with Glen Bingham and married. She retired from Mega Machine Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Gary and Michael. Surviving are her children, Marla (Lerch) Hagler, and grandchildren, Shane, Carly and Joseph, all from Illinois; Alan and Brenda Lerch, from Tucson, Arizona; Bill and Julie Lerch, and grandchildren Lauryn, Jacob, Taylor and Samantha, all from Phoenix, Arizona; and Michael Lerch, from Lacey.
She also leaves behind treasured friends, Mary Christle, Kelly Devlin, Shari Enger, Diane Minoza, and Mary Olson, and many others who will miss her greatly, as well as her furry companions, Gabby and Angel.
Carolyn treasured her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her home, her dogs and spending time with friends.
Per Carolyn's wishes, there will be no funeral or burial. A gathering for family and close friends is planned at her residence in celebration of her life from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008. Those who wish to attend may do so.

I knew Carolyn(Lynn Schrag, at the time) when she was 16 and living with her parents in Snohomish, over 60 years ago. She was a delightful person, not to be forgotten.

All my prayers and love go out to Carolyn's family and friends.
I knew Carolyn professionally before I met her son, Michael, and have grown to love them all as an extended family.
I will miss her tremendously and cherish the times we had together. I look forward to continuing a loving friendship with her family and friends.
