CHARLES MYER Obituary

Charles (Chuck) Taylor Myer Born October 23, 1929 in Olympia, WA, Chuck passed away at Roo-Lan Health Care Center in Olympia, WA, on November 30, 2011. Charles was born to Rexford and Hazel Myer, one of eleven children. He attended Silverdale High School in Silverdale, WA. Following high school, Chuck enlisted in the US Army. In 1953 Chuck married Charlene Hunter and raised 4 children. She preceded him in death. Chuck loved hunting, fishing, camping, and bowling with his brothers Dick, Ray, Everett, and Don. His favored activity was hunting at Toby's Cabin in Eastern WA. Chuck was a longtime masonry contractor in the Olympia area. He was preceded in death by brothers Clete, Lawrence (Moe), Willis, Everett, and Richard, and sisters Juanita, Jean, and Marie. He is survived by two brothers, Ray and Don of Olympia, and four children, Marty (Mary), Bobbie (Rick Jones), Shayne (Chris), and James (Lindsay), nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at 11:00 am, at Columbian Hall located at 6794 Martin Way, Olympia, WA. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
