David Kornmann Obituary

David Royal Kornmann passed away at his home on Monday, October 23, 2006. David was born on September 17, 1957 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Royal and Shirley (Jones) Kornmann. He moved with his family to the Olympia area in 1969. He graduated from North Thurston High School in 1975. David married Melissa Doone Caster on August 11, 1996 in Hawaii. He worked in the elevator industry for over 20 years, and was currently employed by Thyssen Crop Elevators. David will be remembered for his hard work, working on the family farm, "tractoring", his practical jokes, and his wonderful sense of humor. He especially loved his wife, family, and friends. He enjoyed entertaining them and barbecues. He is survived by his wife, Melissa; mother, Shirley; sons, David P. Kornmann and Christopher Schriver; daughters, Katie M. Kornmann, Jessica R. Kornmann, and Tessa A. Milholland; sister, Cheryl L. Burnside; and grandchildren, Sammy Jo and Armelia S. Kornmann. He was preceded in death by his father, Royal P. and sister, Kathryn A. Kornmann. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in Mills & Mills Memorial Park, 5725 Littlerock Road S.W., Tumwater. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Light and Life Bible Fellowship Church, 1901 7th Avenue S.E., Olympia, Washington. The family suggests memorials be made to the Church or to the American Heart Association. Funeral arrangements are by Mills & Mills Funeral Home, Tumwater.
