Derek Boysen Obituary

Olympia, Washington - Derek Peter Boysen passed away March 4, 2022, in Olympia, Washington, his home of 32 years. He was born July 28, 1971, to Richard and Robin Boysen in Anchorage, Alaska. Through the years, he also lived in Cooper Landing and Soldotna, Alaska.
While in Olympia, Derek attended South Sound Community College and St. Martin's University, and married Ericka Stahl on June 17, 1995. He worked for Berschauer Phillips/Forma (1993-2017) and Andy Johnson Construction Co. (2017-2022).
Derek is survived by his wife, Ericka Boysen; son, Drew Boysen; daughter, Nicole (Boysen) Ghobadian; parents; brothers, Dane Boysen and Karsten Boysen; and sister, Kristina (Boysen) Van Ray.
Services have taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center at fredhutch.org.
