Edward Larson Obituary

Edward M. Larson passed away at his home on July 28, 2007 from natural causes. Ed was born on January 10, 1922 in Seattle, Washington to Andrew and Elvina Larson. He was the youngest of four children. Ed graduated from Ballard High School in 1941 and served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He married Elsie Lensch in 1943, and they have two children, Marianne Larson and Jim Larson (Kristi), both of Olympia. Elsie preceded Ed in death in 1992, and he subsequently married Margaret "Peggy" Daniels in 1994. They established a new home in Pennsylvania and spent 11 years traveling the East Coast and beyond. In 2005, Ed and Peggy returned to Olympia to be near family. Until his retirement, Ed worked mainly in sales and found great fulfillment in his last job as Executive Director of Custom Industries, a community rehabilitation program serving individuals with disabilities in Bellevue. Ed is survived by his wife, Peggy, daughter, Marianne, son, Jim, stepdaughter, Donnilyn Blake, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven great- grandsons, brother, Arthur, and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family celebration of Ed's life will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at Ed and Peggy's home. Gifts or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
