Emily Elizabeth Laisure

Emily E. Laisure Emily passed away peacefully August 16, 2013 in Caldwell, ID, at the home of her daughter, Gloria and Benjamin Flanagan. Emily was born September 3, 1928 in Benton City, WA. She married LeRoy D. Laisure in Coeur d'Alene, ID, April 29, 1944. She lived in Olympia and retired from the Dept of Revenue. She and her husband were snowbirds and went to Quartzite every year. Her husband preceded her in death in 1999. She is also survived by her three children, Leilani D Alvarez, Olympia, Gloria G. Flanagan, Caldwell, ID and Gary D. Laisure; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She visited her parents and siblings whenever she could. She was very close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked hard all her life taking care of her son, Gary, as well as gardening, canning and even milked a cow each day before going to work. She aways had time for her friends. She was a member of the Boston Harbor Garden Club until 2010. There will be a service at Mills and Mills Chapel on Littlerock Road in Tumwater Saturday, August 24 at 1pm with a viewing from 11am to 1pm. There will be a lite meal at the Firehouse on Boston Harbor Road near the Mercantile store following the service for family and close friends. She will be interned along with her eternal companion in the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA at a later date.
