Gary Johnston Obituary

Gary Duane Johnston, 49, of West Yellowstone, Montana, died June 12, in Idaho Falls, ID. He was born December 23, 1952 in Aberdeen, Washington, to Raymond Johnston and Maryann W. Foy. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam era.He married Donna Marie Noel Lane June 13, 1998 in West Yellowstone. He was a finish carpenter in West Yellowstone and was formerly a Superintendent for Berschauer and Phillips Construction in Olympia, Washington.He was past President of Carpenters Local Union, a member of the Elks Lodge, and member of St. Michael's Church in Olympia. He enjoyed the outdoors with his friends.Gary is survived by his wife, Donna M. Johnston, West Yellowstone, MT; Sons, Travis R. Johnston, Oregon City, OR and Seth W. Johnston, Reno, NV; Stepdaughter, Roxanne Jenkins, Greenfield, MA; his Father, Raymond A. Johnston , Olympia, WA; Brothers, Steven R. (Vicki) Johnston, Creswell, OR, Bill A. (Heidi) Johnston, Olympia, WA, and Rick M. (Debra) Johnston, Forest Grove, OR; Sister, Patti A. (Gary) Hilberg, Olympia, WA; and 3 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15th, at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in West Yellowstone, Montana, with Sister Ann Marie officiating. The family will visit prior to the services from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in Fir Ridge Cemtgery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho. 83402-4092. (208) 522-2751. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Duane Johnston Foundation at First Security Bank in West Yellowstone.
