Glen McIlraith Obituary

Born in Sedro Woolley, WA, Glen grew up in Bremerton, WA. He attended Olympic College on a basketball scholarship and graduated from the University of Puget Sound before being drafted into the US Army. He served at Fort Sam Houston, where his ability to type and his talent for golf kept him from being sent to Vietnam. He returned to Washington and spent the remainder of his years in Olympia, enjoying life with his family and countless hobbies including golf, flying, building and restoring aerobatic planes, fly fishing, woodworking, target shooting, gardening, boating, and traveling.

Glen is preceded in death by his father, John Henry McIlraith, his mother, Bertha (Dunn) Durocher, his twin sons (at birth), his wife, Jeanne (Baker) McIlraith, and his son, James McIlraith. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (McIlraith) Dahl, his son-in-law, Edgar Dahl, his daughter-in-law, Kristin McIlraith, his granddaughter, Gabriella McIlraith Miltner, his brother-in-law, James Baker, and sister, Debbie Lieder.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held October 25, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Mills & Mills in Tumwater, WA. If you'd like to honor Glen, find a way to support a young pilot or golfer.
