Glenda Bouchard Obituary

Glenda I. Bouchard, 79, a longtime resident of Porter, Washington, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2005. She was born in Elma, Washington on February 3, 1926 to George and Violet Ray. Glenda graduated from Elma High School in the Class of 1944. On November 28, 1947 she married Jesse E. Bouchard in Elma. Glenda held an Aberdeen Daily World newspaper motor route for many years. She had also worked at Edgewood Manor in Montesano, Washington. She enjoyed cooking, doing embroidery, reading, and gardening. She loved to send cards, and never missed a special occasion or a thank you note. Glenda is lovingly remembered by her children, Laura Arnold and Joann McCrary, both of Elma, Diane Smith, of Olympia, Washington, Janet Thayer, of Othello, Washington, Dale, of McCleary, Washington, David, of Silverdale, Washington, Larry, of Thompson Falls, Montana, Stanley, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Stanley McInturff, of Cleveland, Texas; a sister, Maxine Fritz, of Olympia; eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; and two sisters, Eleanor Engle and Roberta Walton. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday, May 5, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at the Elma Masonic Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at the Porter Sunday School.
